Mixing, Dosage & Injecting

Mixing

Wipe off the top surface of the vial containing your Melanotan 2 and bottle containing the sterile water.  Take your syringe and insert it into the vial holding the water. Turn it upside down, draw out 100 units (1 cc/ml) of water,  inject this into the vial of Melanotan powder.   Roll the vial gently on a hard surface until the Melanotan is dissolved. Do not shake. With this dilution there is 1mg of Melanotan 2 per 10 units. Your mixed vial will now contain 100 total units of Melanotan 2.

Dosage

You will begin with a "loading phase" tan injection. During this phase it is recommended that you start off with a small daily dose, such as 2 units per day (2 units= 0.2mg) and increase 2 units every 3 days until you are at 10 unit doses.  Remain at 10 unit daily doses until you are as dark as you would like to be.  Once dark enough, you will then begin your "maintainance phase". During this tanning injection phase you will cut back to only taking 5 to 10 units per week to maintain your tan all year round.

Injecting Melanotan 2

1. Always wash your hands thoroughly.
2. Load up the syringe.
   • Take the protective cover of the needle, top and bottom.
   • Insert the needle into the vial through the centre of the rubber stopper.
   • Turn the  vial upside down with the needle still inside.
   • Pull back the plunger  to the desired dosage mark  on your needle. (2 units for first time user).
   • Check your needle for any air bubbles, tap the needle so they rise to the top and then push the plunger to remove them.
3. Select the injection site.
   
   • You can inject anywhere on the body where there is a higher fatty layer.
   • Always vary the injection site.
   • Never inject any bruised, swollen or scarred areas.
4. Clean the injection site.
   
   • Clean a two-inch area of the selected site with an alcohol swab.
   • Let the area dry.
5. Actual tan injection.
   
   • Using the hand you write with, hold the needle over the area you have cleaned.
   • With your other hand pinch two to three inches on either side of the area you have cleaned.
   • Using a quick motion, insert the needle into the pinched area. The needle should go all the way into the skin.
   • Push the needle plunger until all of the Melanotan 2 is out of the needle.
   • Quickly pull the needle out.
   • Apply gentle pressure to the site with the alcohol wipe.
   • Do not rub the injection site.
